At Austin Peay, we are large enough to offer you a broad range of educational and social options, but small enough to treat you as an individual. That’s because we provide all of the resources of a big university, with a small college feel. We serve a large population of diverse students with several degree options at the associates, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. Many of these degrees can be pursued on campus and online. Austin Peay also is working to support the region’s economic growth with several new programs that cater to the employment needs of local industries and the surrounding community.

The Austin Peay State University Board of Trustees will hold a special called meeting at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, in the O'Malley Family Welcome Center at 317 College St.
Between recovering from heart surgery, becoming a new mother, and moving across the country, it was easy for Cavelle McGrath to feel overwhelmed, but her mother (Dr. Marsha Lyle-Gonga, a professor of political science at APSU) was always around to keep her calm and focused on the path to her EdD.
The Institute for National Security and Military Studies (INSMS) at Austin Peay State University took a leading role in advancing global scholarship on defense and democratic security this summer by co-hosting a high-level academic workshop on military cultures in democracies in Potsdam, Germany.
