UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS
On Thursday, May 9th, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Ascension, one of the major feast days of the year. To that end, a celebration of Holy Eucharist will be offered at 5:30 PM.
Join us at the 10am service on Sunday, May 12th where we will recognize our students and graduates! If you or your child is graduating from high school/university, please let us know so that we can include you/them in our celebrations that morning.
Sunday, May 19th is the Day of Pentecost, which is often referred to as the birthday of the church. We would like to encourage everyone to wear red, yellow, or orange to represent “the tongues of fire” that appeared as the gathered disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit. We will have 12 cakes (for the 12 months of the year) in the Parish Hall following the 10 o’clock service. All attending will stand around the table of their birth month as we sing Happy Birthday to the Church. Then we will celebrate with cake, punch, and lemonade.
Come join Jim Murphy from the Episcopal Church Foundation and other parishioners on Sunday, June 2nd at 9 AM to learn more about Planned Giving and how it can benefit both you and your parish. Planned or Legacy giving is an important aspect of your Stewardship and can take many different forms such as a bequest in a will, Charitable Gift Annuity, life insurance beneficiary and many other opportunities. We look forward to seeing you there.
