Comprehensive Weight Loss Procedures & Services
Gastric Sleeve
The gastric sleeve, or sleeve gastrectomy, is minimally invasive and involves the removal of a portion of the stomach. Patients typically experience much less hunger after our surgeons remove part of the stomach that produces ghrelin, a hormone that makes people feel constantly hungry.
Medical Weight Loss
Weight loss can involve much more than just diet and exercise. When it comes to medical weight loss in Portland, it is a strategy—carefully designed by a medical professional—that includes a full understanding of your body’s needs; nutritional guidance, the utilization of medication or injectables for weight loss, and frequent check-ins to keep you accountable.
Gastric Bypass
The gastric bypass, or Roux-en-Y bypass, is minimally invasive and results in both a smaller stomach and a rerouted portion of the intestines. This is a good option for patients who need to lose a lot of weight; who carry their fat centrally; or who have metabolic illnesses, such as type 2 diabetes.
Lap Band
A Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band is an adjustable, inflatable, silicone device placed around the upper portion of the stomach during laparoscopic surgery. Place of the band creates a small pouch about the size of a golf ball, called a stoma, which limits the amount of food you are able to consume.
Revision Procedures
Our revision procedures provide a solution for patients who have experienced complications, inadequate weight loss, or weight regain after a previous weight loss surgery. Our expert surgeons will assess your unique situation and customize a revision plan to help you achieve your weight loss goals effectively.
