    Florida House, Senate leaders reach budget 'framework' deal. Includes $2.8 billion in tax cuts
    House Speaker Daniel Perez, R-Miami, and Senate President Ben Albritton, R-Wauchula, made the announcement on the final scheduled night of a contentious 60-day legislative session. Lawmakers had to approve an extension of the session because they did not finish the budget.

    U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami Gardens, and U.S. Rep Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, D-Miramar, denounced the Trump administration for allowing what they said were “inhumane” conditions at a facility in Pompano Beach that houses suspected undocumented immigrants. A 44-year-old Haitian woman died last week while in federal custody.
