The Data Mining Group (DMG) is dedicated to developing the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) Portable Format for Analytics (PFA), a leading standard for statistical and data mining models supported by over 30 vendors.

PMML simplifies analytics by allowing users to develop models on one system and deploy them on another using simple XML configuration files. PFA is an emerging standard that offers enhanced flexibility, combining system portability with algorithmic capability. PFA allows models, pre-processing, and post-processing to be arbitrarily composed into complex workflows, defined using JSON or YAML.

The DMG operates as a consortium, managed by the Center for Computational Science Research, Inc., ensuring the development of powerful, flexible data transformation engines.
