The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) is a leading organization in Hartford, Connecticut, dedicated to advancing educational equity and inclusion. As an inaugural member of The Bridges Collaborative, CREC works with The Century Foundation (TCF) to foster racial and socioeconomic integration in schools nationwide.

CREC offers comprehensive educational programs, including magnet schools, a teacher residency program, and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) curriculum. Furthermore, the Polaris Center provides specialized, comprehensive treatment services for students from kindergarten through post-high school, including academic instruction, counseling, behavioral support, and vocational experiences. CREC also supports educators through specialized training, such as the Paraprofessional Course of Study.
