The Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council, Inc. is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by coordinating resources to improve the economic welfare and address the causes of poverty in the area.

The EOC focuses on identifying barriers to self-sufficiency, providing low-to-moderate income families with the skills, knowledge, and motivation needed to achieve success. They offer essential community-based services and programs, including free Head Start and Early Head Start enrollment for children from birth to age five. The EOC works to empower families and ensure that vulnerable children and families have the opportunity to build self-sufficient futures.
