The City of Elgin is actively engaging with community well-being and seasonal services. Recent announcements include public health mitigation measures for Region 10 and Region 8, limiting indoor gatherings in businesses to 25 patrons.

To foster community connection, the city hosted the socially distanced "Little Park of Horrors" event at Wing Park from October 22 through November 1.
