The Indianapolis Zen Center offers a 2500-year-old practice of Zen Buddhism in central Indiana, rooted in the lineage of Zen Master Seung Sahn. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we foster a compassionate community through daily practice, retreats, and gatherings.

Newcomers can easily begin their journey with free Wednesday evening meditation orientations or online Zoom practices. We host monthly retreats and special events, including a December retreat, offering opportunities for daily practice and deeper exploration.
