Ingham County provides residents with access to important public services and governance information. Residents can conduct business and access legal information through the 30th Judicial Circuit and 55th Judicial District Courts, along with Freedom of Information Act resources.

The Board of Commissioners maintains transparency by continuing to hold meetings virtually, adhering to Public Act 2020-228. Furthermore, the county is actively focused on social equity, having unanimously adopted Resolution #20-254 to declare racism as a public issue, and established the Racial Equity Taskforce.
