The Carrack was an artist-centered, volunteer-run, zero-commission exhibition and event space located in downtown Durham, North Carolina.

Its mission was to empower local artists by providing professional exhibit and performance opportunities, allowing them to forge productive cultural and social-economic ties with their community. As a unique zero-commission space, The Carrack aimed to facilitate artistic growth directly within the community.

Though The Carrack is now closed (September 2019), this archive highlights a dedication to fostering local artistic opportunities.
