Working Films uses documentary filmmaking to advance movements for social and environmental justice. We champion accountable storytelling through initiatives like the Race Flicks film track and the Works-in-Progress Lab, which host online screenings tackling racial justice and systemic inequities.

Our IMPACT KICKSTART program provides $12,000 in funding to help underrepresented filmmakers establish strategic goals and engage audiences. We also support community development through the Rural Cinema Cohort and offer consultation and training to filmmakers, nonprofits, and grassroots groups, empowering them to amplify powerful stories and drive meaningful change.
