The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science and the Sandia Mountain Natural History Center are temporarily closed due to public health directives.

Despite this closure, the museum offers rich educational resources through virtual visits and online programs, including astronomy, fractal art, and space exploration. Families can still explore educational content, special events (like Dino Yoga and Sensory Friendly Evenings), and programs such as Scavenger Hunts and Youth Camps.

The NatureWorks gift shop remains open Thursday–Sunday, offering support for the museum’s foundation. Visitors can continue to access exciting educational opportunities and virtual experiences while the facilities are unavailable.
