The Coastal Water Authority (CWA) is a conservation and reclamation district established in 1967 to manage and provide untreated surface water resources in Texas.

The CWA serves essential water needs by providing untreated surface water to the cities of Houston, Baytown, and Deer Park for municipal purposes. Additionally, the Authority supports approximately 100 industries and agricultural customers.

Governed by a 7-member Board of Directors—four appointed by the Houston Mayor and three by the Governor of Texas—the CWA ensures responsible management of these vital resources.
