The Slingerland® Institute for Literacy provides essential teacher training in the Slingerland® Multisensory Structured Language Approach (MSL). Since 1977, the Institute has demonstrated that MSL effectively helps children and adults with specific language disabilities learn to read, spell, and write.

Our mission is to perpetuate the integrity of this approach, emphasizing that reading and writing are core life skills requiring early intervention for success. Each Slingerland-certified teacher can impact up to 30 children annually. With a history of training over 16,000 teachers, we have helped over 3.5 million children.
