The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) develops, owns, and operates safe housing for low-income, homeless, and formerly homeless individuals across Washington State.

LIHI goes beyond shelter by advocating for just housing policies and administering supportive service programs designed to help people maintain stable housing and increase self-sufficiency. Programs like Tiny House Villages move individuals from unsafe camping into warm, supportive communities.

We actively provide support through initiatives like Urban Rest Stops and by facilitating opportunities for donations. While we administer housing, individual property staff handle applications. Support, whether through volunteering or donations, makes a tangible difference in the lives of families experiencing homelessness.
