The Center for Global Infectious Disease Research (CGIDR) is dedicated to making transformative scientific advances for the prevention, treatment, and cures of infectious diseases impacting children and families worldwide.

Responding to global crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, CGIDR conducts critical research to monitor infections, understand differential impacts on adults and children, and develop new therapeutic strategies and vaccine studies. Our innovative work explores complex areas, including using nanobodies to combat COVID-19 and developing new strategies against malaria and tuberculosis.

Through collaborative partnerships and multidisciplinary research, we address critical pediatric health challenges, from cancer outcomes to developmental biology. We are actively seeking researchers, partners, and private support to accelerate these essential global public health efforts.
